We Welcome You To The 2011-2012 Concert Season
This year we will present more symphonic tunes for you in an exciting program. We will start the season with pieces that describe what it would be like if we could translate scenes from Mother Nature's world into music. Our family concert in November recalls Halloween and includes the Harry Potter movie theme. The third concert, which is more traditional, features the wonderful trumpeter Adam Gaines as soloist, along with a nice surprise for those who attend. As a season finale we will present one of the greatest of all works for chorus and orchestra: "A German Requiem," by Brahms. With its emphasis on comfort and consolation, it is completely different from those by other composers that also have the title of Requiem. Don't wait to choose which concert to attend--they are all different. Four very distinctive programs are waiting for you. See you at the concert! Seong-Kyung Graham, Conductor
